bully FREE SEMINAR
Social media and the news report incidents of bullying among the youth on what seems like, an, unfortunately, consistent basis. Most of us have been scrolling through our Facebook news feed and have seen those videos of bullies picking on someone. As unfortunate as this is, it is a reality that will eventually touch every child in one manner or another.

WHY OUR bully free seminar?
MARTIAL ARTS IS FAMOUS FOR BUILDING CONFIDENCE & COURAGE
American Family Martial Arts instructors are trained to work on skills that build a child’s confidence at the developmental stage that is right for them. Our daily classes teach courage-courage to stand up for yourself or for a buddy.
If your child is having difficulties in school, then studying martial arts may help them. By providing kids with a natural outlet for their energy – and helping them achieve clarity in our school – martial arts leads the way to better grades which can increase confidence.
KIDS DON’T GET LABELED IN MARTIAL ARTS
One of the most damaging things that can happen to kids in school is that they get labeled: the fat kid, the clumsy kid, and so on. In our school, they’re all just martial arts kids!
Kids learn to trust themselves and their abilities. As a result, their confidence soars.
Physical self-confidence leads to intellectual and emotional self-esteem, and martial arts can help kids carry themselves with a deep-seated sense of confidence and authority.
our seminar teaches practical easy to use tips for bully defense
American Family Martial Arts instructors know that children learn more quickly and retain information longer when they are involved.
This interactive seminar divides up instructional time with hands on bully defense. Everything from breathing techniques to “STOP! NO!” practice. Kids these days are told so often to be quiet, they have to learn when to be LOUD!
The seminar topics are divided into: What is bullying; how to deal with bullying, what should we do when we see other being bullied, and buddying.
Your child also walks away with six easy to remember tips on how to deal with a bully!
if your child is being bullied at school, parents often feel helpless and powerless
This seminar can give your child tools to be confident and speak strongly; be calm and most of all be prepared if they encounter a bully.
When I enrolled my son, I didn’t expect he will love karate and will make a great impact on his live, altitude, ethics and education. Since start in last May, my son is straight A+ and mode changed positively to recover from a depression he faced last year. I recommend AFMA to my friends.
I have two kids attending this program. One's now a second degree black belt and the other just finished his first year of their skills program. Both have learned much during their training and classes and very much enjoy their martial arts activities. We go to both the AFMA Baton Rouge and Prairieville locations depending on our schedule. The owner (master level) is very friendly and knowledgeable and is very good at teaching both the kids and the adults. As a parent, I enjoying watching my kids interact with the various instructors and seeing my kids learn and improve. I also enjoy the free coffee and interacting with the other parents as we watch our kids. And I always look forward to the yearly tournaments as other schools come in from out of town and I watch my kids compete.
I want to say thank you to the staff at American Family Martial Arts. My son has been a part of your martial arts program in Prairieville for 2 years now and he absolutely loves it. When he started he had issues with focus, discipline, and behavior. The instructors showed great patience and commitment to helping him, and he has shown tremendous improvement thanks to the guiding hands of the instructors at AFMA. One of the best things about the instructors is that they always take the time to help every child in the class get better through gentle correction and positive feedback, all while using drills to make it fun and keep the kids attention. Signing my son up at American Family Martial Arts was the best thing I could have done for him. Keep up the great work and thank you for all you do!
